The Director, Client Engagement is responsible for cultivating positive, long-term relationships with our client partners while working in unison with our business development and operations teams.  The Director, Client Engagement is responsible for interacting with clients at the decision-maker level; and acting as an extension of the client by understanding and communicating agreed upon expectations to internal departments and increasing the market share of business by ensuring our services meet and exceed customer expectations.  Through ongoing communication, the Director, Client Engagement delivers the highest level of client service and ensures product and service success at each client site.

Responsibilities 

  • Acts as an "ambassador" for a fast-paced, detail oriented supportive team by facilitating friendly, courteous, efficient, and well-presented service to all clients.
  • Building, cultivating, and maintaining strong relationships built on trust at the decision maker level. within EC's client base; continually resulting in a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains and manages a macro-level overview of strategic clients, understands and tracks performance goals relative to expectations, meets regularly with decision makers to review progress and communicate/reinforce value proposition; utilizing CRM methodologies and tools.
  • Collaborates and acts as liaison between customers and Operations, Implementation and Sales teams to develop and implement client specific strategies for communication and resolution of open internal/external items to maximization of current and future revenue.
  • Uses a consultative approach to best serve each client to ensure the right services are delivered on time to meet each client's needs and expectations.
  • Schedule and attend regular client meetings and/or conference calls to present current status and performance reports.
  • Communicate and continually report executive client updates, general client strategy, market/industry trends, and other macro-level impact areas that can affect business.
  • Develop agendas and other presentation materials, create meeting summaries and generate meeting deliverables as required.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities within the assigned client base, escalating to the assigned outside sales executive for applicable territory/client.
  • Participate and present to internal stakeholders.
  • Use of independent judgement and discretion as it relates to responsibilities detailed above.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or other related field of study is required. Master's Degree preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Must have 5-7 years demonstrated experience in account management in the healthcare technology industry, preferably hospital revenue cycle management.
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce.com) a plus.
  • Experience with utilizing CRM methodologies (e.g. LAMP) a plus.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as partner and collaborate with internal departments and leaders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Experienced in communication of obstacles and challenges and developing action plans to present to management.
  • Demonstrates a consultative relationship style.
  • Strong analysis and problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to manage conflicting priorities, while being extremely adaptable and flexible.
  • Some travel required.
