Position Summary

The eLearning Specialist reports to the Training Department People Leader and is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of eLearning opportunities for EnableComp employees. The eLearning Specialist will maintain and enhance existing training content, serve as the digital learning expert, and will monitor content to keep material current. This includes observing live instructor lead training and work to incorporate multimedia experiences into the classroom to help ensure the best learning environment. The eLearning Specialist will work with the Training manager to develop new approaches to learning and micro-learning experiences to enhance the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather information and course elements from internal SME resources and designated external references.
  • Develop and design eLearning material, coordinate and review educational content and incorporate current technology in developing specific eLearning criteria.
  • Create and design courses that are visually creative and easy to understand.
  • Support deployment of eLearning programs including uploading and revising courses, curricula, assignments, quizzes, and surveys in EnableComp's designated LMS.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert to ensure quality & consistency of eLearning programs.
  • Works with department leaders to identify and assess all future and current eLearning needs based on business initiatives.
  • Prepares appropriate educational materials such as course descriptions, videos, and practice modules.
  • Ability to assist and deliver live in classroom training on an as needed basis determined by the Training Manager.
  • Deliver multiple reports to Training Manager and Senior Executives showing development of eLearning courses and modules, user activity including assigned courses, completed courses, assessment scores and survey data.
  • Solicits feedback from trainees, colleagues, and management to ensure continuous improvement in the training program.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and assignments of various scales.
  • Responsible for updating Sharepoint with the most current training documents.
  • Use of independent judgement and discretion as it relates to responsibilities detailed above.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years' healthcare experience (healthcare setting, business office, revenue cycle or patient accounting) with knowledge of the entire revenue cycle front to back. Experience with Worker's Compensation, Veterans Administration and/or Auto/Third Party Liability. Understanding of provider and payer claim adjudication processes.
  • 3-5 years of relevant technical and/or revenue cycle training experience.
  • Prior experience with Learning Management Systems is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Special Considerations and Prerequisites

  • Timely and regular attendance during normal business office hours. (Monday Friday)
  • Proficient with MS Office and patient accounting software.
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to executive training in various settings to all types of employees within the organization.
  • Superb analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail. Should be able to develop accurate written materials.
  • Capable of working collaboratively with others in a team-orientated environment.
  • Goal-driven with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Action orientated. Should be able to follow up on feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Be adept in prioritizing and managing multiple competing priorities and projects concurrently.
  • Ability to stay focused and appropriately handle stress.
