Position Summary

The Director, Operations is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to multiple Revenue Services teams for the purpose of obtaining quantifiable results from and setting priorities for direct reports. Leads dedicated product/service teams to deliver best-in-class results to our clients. The Director possesses keen leadership and communication skills and reports any obstacles, challenges, and opportunities that impact the Company's revenue projections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the processes and inventory are in place to hit monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue expectations for the company.
  • Take the lead in explaining and recommending solutions to variances in revenue metrics to Sr. Leadership.
  • Manage multiple teams by setting daily, monthly and strategic goals for assigned supervisors/managers.
  • Support the account managers in building and expanding relationships with clients.
  • Perform regular audits and client reviews ensuring EC is delivering all requirements to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Responsible for hiring, training and oversight of assigned staff.
  • Assist with annual goal planning, annual reviews and monthly account reviews of assigned staff.
  • Measures and monitors key performance metrics and delivers concise performance reporting to stakeholders with corrective action plans for variances when appropriate.
  • Assists in setting the strategic direction of the Revenue Services team and identifies areas of continuous improvement in conjunction with the leadership team.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement procedures and regulations related to insurance billing and collections.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of quality and productivity metrics and benchmarks for the revenue services functions based on industry standards and internal benchmarks.
  • Researches and analyzes collections systems processes in Enforcer, including process improvement and SOP enhancement recommendations.
  • Coordinate resources throughout the organization to address the action plan for assigned accounts.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and manage key deliverables to enhance client engagement and loyalty.
  • Oversees the development and monitoring of quality and productivity standards.
  • Responsible for setting multiple priorities daily to ensure the most profitable business is worked with the proper number of staff and with the appropriate level of focus.
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of all related HIPAA regulations and ensures staff compliance to these requirements. This includes updating work processes, system capabilities, and policies and procedures as well as training staff on these requirements.
  • Maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Assist with audits and client reviews ensuring EC is delivering all requirements to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years' experience in management or supervisory experience with team size of 10+.
  • 6+ years' experience in healthcare setting, information technology company or managed care industry, preferably in the area of Finance/Collections, Business Operations or Revenue Recovery.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience working with internal teams while serving in a client facing or client support role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of financials, HMO's, hospital revenue cycle process, ancillary and provider contract language and familiarity with healthcare and provider data sets.
  • Extensive level of understanding of insurance payer/provider claim processing and subsequent data requirements.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required.
