Position Summary

The QA Lead reports to the Vice President, Software Development and works with all Information Technology leaders to ensure that they are following QA best practices. The QA Lead will be responsible for development and management of EnableComp's QA best practices within our SDLC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define testing standards and strategies
  • Establish and implement formal QA processes and best practices
  • Participate in the design process to understand, analyze and influence the application/service/system to be tested.
  • Seek to continuously improve test processes (Root Cause Analysis, Correction and Preventions)
  • Provide continuous review and recommendations for improvement of processes related to status reporting/dash-boarding and QA
  • Work with software architects and developers throughout the SDLC to develop and implement the software test strategy and plan.
  • Identify the risks and appropriate test coverage to validate new features as well as regression, and develop test plans and cases.
  • Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated in CI/CD pipelines).
  • Design, develop and support frameworks for EnableComp's test infrastructure and provide automation expertise to our development teams.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and leaders to ensure EnableComp's QA best practices are being followed.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelors' Degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of QA experience including writing and executing test plans.
  • 2-3 years of experience in creating and implementing QA best practices.
  • Experience using project tracking software considered a strong asset (ex: JIRA)
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Experience writing testing scripts for browser based applications using tools such as Selenium.
  • Experience creating test data and reviewing output files, preferred.
  • Experience with SQL and test management software (e.g. Zephyr, qTest)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Passion for learning and mentoring.
